Moving On Up!

Most of you know that I have some big genea-dreams.  I have accomplished another one of my genea-dreams: My blog now has it’s own domain and is hosted.  So now you can find my blog right here – www.elysesgenealogyblog.com – how cool is that!

This is something that I’ve been thinking about for a long time.  I’ve wanted to upgrade my blog and make it more flexible for me.  This new version of my blog is just another way for me to be an active participant of the genealogy community.

Ultimately, my goal is to help people see the joy in discovering their ancestors and family stories.  I still don’t know how I will reach my goal to encourage people to research their ancestors or how I will help people find their ancestors, but this new website is definitely a step in the right direction.

This is a big step for me and I am still learning a lot.  Please feel free to give me constructive criticism or feedback because I still need to work a few things out.  Please tell me what you think!

I just want to send a huge Thank You to all of my genealogy friends for always being by my side, always supporting me, and always encouraging me.  This is such a wonderful and rewarding community to be a part of and I am so grateful to have all of you in my life.  You always push me to accomplish my dreams and become a better researcher.

  13. I’ve been using WP for a year or more and I love it’s flexibility. I’m very happy to see you’re using CommentLuv. I think it’s one of the nicest ways to reward your readers. MaxBlogPress has some nice plugins too if you do a search in WP plugins. LinkWithin is also a good one. Congrats on the new blog Elyse!
