Hi Deanna - Yes, we are indeed related. I've been in contact with your Mom a few times. She has sent me such amazing stuff. And I've also been talking to that Keppler from Wisconsin too.

Hi,

I believe that we are cousins. My line on the Kepplers:

Deanna Housden-Campen
Dixie Keppler-Housden-Sanders
Paul Deverell Keppler
Anthony (Anton) Keppler
Anton and Rosalie

My mom (Dixie) was just contacted from a Keppler in Wisconsin that is also related to this line. I believe that he send my mom a copy of the ship manifest that Marie came over on. I'm sure that she would love to exchange information with you. You can contact her dixiesndrs@comcast.net

Good morning Elyse. I hope that you won't take this comment as criticism, but rather as a observation.

I find it quite hard to read your blog, the print is small, and that light grayish color that just does not go well with my old eyes.

Viewing on a 19 inch monitor with Chrome.

Anyway, just thought I would mention it.

Wow, you've really done a lot of work with genealogy! It's nice to see there are other relatively young people around my age so interested in genealogy.

I can relate to your interaction with your grandfather. My great-grandmother never talked about her parents and when asked, she and all her siblings would say, "I don't want to talk about the past. That's all over and done with." I only recently heard from a cousin that they didn't want to talk about their parents because the parents were shady characters, involved in human trafficking and slavery in the early twentieth century. I guess you'd not be too pleased to tell your descendants about something like that.
